Merry Christmas & Happy 2009 Ahead!

The year has really flown past quickly. This will be Ryno's 1st Christmas and the very 1st year our family is actually spending Christmas in Hawaii. Unlike the previous two years which we went to Singapore for Christmas, a piece of Singapore (in the form of Ms Pauline Fong) flew to us instead this year!

Pauline did a way better job than Santa, delivering a whole suitcase full of goodies and gifts from home. We spent an awesome 2 weeks of fastfood bingeing, impulse shopping and marathon driving (half that time in the car stuck in traffic though).

Storm struck Hawaii during Pauline's stay and other than the few days of rain we had to endure, we also had to mourn the lost of several of our electronic devices that fell victim in the disaster. The neighbourhood lost power in the night and the power surge that followed fried our laptop. Pauline's camera also died a mysterious death. The power went out again that day for almost 10 hours, so we were forced into spending more enjoyable hours in the lovely shopping malls.

With Pauline now back in disaster-free and power-outage-free Singapore, the boys and I have one less playmate for entertainment. We're gonna be here in Hawaii for at least another 4 years; so whoever is next in line to come send us Christmas gifts from afar, we'll be looking forward to your visit!
