Tiny Hands Hold Great Power

It's amazing what a little person can do to a family, and what a family can do to a little person!

Being greeted affectionately with warm hugs and endless I-love-yous upon his very first meeting with his New Jersey family at the airport, Johno seemed a little overwhelmed but totally at ease, obviously enjoying the spotlight of attention bestowed upon him. And by Day 2, he was already ecstatic to see them again - greeting them with gleeful yells while bouncing on the couch like an excited little chimp. From that moment on for the next 3 weeks, laughter and cheer filled the house and the souls of everyone in it.

The family doted on him insanely while he reciprocated with generous hugs, kisses and smiles. Learning Mandarin and culture from the family, Johno in return successfully taught them the art of signing and had everyone hooked on using his signature phrase: "Uh-oh!"

This has been a very powerful 3-weeks which has greatly impacted the lives of those who experienced it; bonds have been formed and memories etched. A child who barely can speak has communicated on such a deep level with all 3 generations before him. We might never understand what that mystical non-verbal language was that transpired, but we most definitely know without a doubt that it spoke loud and clear.
