Teban Bird

John and I affectionately named this the Teban Bird because it's the same kind of bird we often see near my parents' home by the Pandan Reservoir in Teban Gardens, Singapore.

Each time we see the Teban Birds, they give us the warm and fuzzy feeling inside which makes us feel closer to home. And over here in Hawaii, we often see them hanging out in little flocks near our home and Johno's school.

So often, we wished we had our camera with us to snap their picture when we pass them by everyday while taking Johno to school. And oddly, the one time we actually made the point to bring our camera with us, none of the Teban Birds were to be found!

Just as I subconsciously pleaded with God in a childish whine for a bird, one single Teban Bird flew in and landed on the grass patch next to the driveway as we pulled into the parking lot. Whipping out the camera as fast as we could, the bird gracefully paused to pose for our picture. And after we took 3 perfect shots of it, it immediately took off and flew back to the nowhere it just came from! That just blew us away...

We love God for the tiniest details He goes into to make us always loved and never forgotten.

Thanks for being so thoughtful, Godpa, but Johno doesn't really need anything right now.

Just keep all the loving with you for now, and shower him with lots of that accumulated love and attention when he comes back to visit in September!
